This program addresses foundational issues in leadership - leading self and leading others, improving team effectiveness as well as the critical topic of establishing a strong ethical culture within the department and organization. It will help participants learn to recognize the underlying drivers of success. The program will also focus on key elements of strategic leadership at the business and corporate level, respectively – in doing so, it will build participants’ ability to evaluate, develop, and implement value-creating strategies at each of these levels. The hybrid program will be interactive, with group discussion, cases, and instructor-led presentation intermixed. The program is suitable for leaders at any level, as it is intended to help participants develop their leadership skills and understanding of how ethical culture form, are challenged, and can be strengthened.

Professor Marcus Dickson, Ph.D., is adjunct professor of management and organizational psychology for the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University, and Director of doctoral and master’s degree programs in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He has held appointments at Trinity College, Dublin (Ireland); Aston University (UK); the Ohio State University (US); and Baruch College – CUNY (US) in their overseas executive programs in Taiwan and Singapore.

He is also recipient of numerous awards, including awards in teaching excellence.

He has consulted with numerous organizations, including Ford Motor Co., Blue Cross Blue Shield, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and numerous governmental and non-profit agencies. His teaching interests focus on leadership and culture.
